Chris Rollins came to fundraising as a volunteer, serving in a leadership role at Frederick Memorial Hospital in his Maryland hometown.  As Executive Director at Atlanta’s Southern Regional Medical Center and Virtua Health in New Jersey, he advanced increasingly larger development programs, before delivering consulting services to hospitals across the southeastern United States as Executive Vice President of Pride Philanthropy.

Chris grew up in broadcasting and marketing communications, was a founder and President of the Greater Frederick Advertising Federation; won ADDY awards for his work in radio, TV, and print; and received the American Advertising Federation’s Silver Medal and Crystal awards.

Chris is a trustee of the Community Foundation of South Jersey and the Shamong Foundation for Educational Excellence, and President of AFP’s New Jersey Southern Chapter.

He fulfills his love of teaching by presenting at national and regional seminars, lecturing at area colleges, volunteering as a mentor with AFP, and serving as an advisor to Pride Philanthropy.  He is a member of AFP and AHP (the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy.

Chris is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), and earned his MBA from Frostburg State University, and BA from Hood College.  He resides in the Pine Barrens of South Jersey with his wife Beth and their three daughters, and has begun work on his next book, TRUISMS for Trustees.

Leading Fundraisers Tell It Like It Is:

Chris Rollins’ experience as a successful volunteer fundraiser, as well as a chief development officer and consultant, gives him a unique perspective, which few can rival.  He is able to clear through the clutter of fundraising jargon into succinct ideas, techniques, and approaches that are invaluable to anyone in the field of philanthropy.  This is not a “little book.”  It is a big one.
